Maharaja "Sawai Madho Singh ji" initiated the construction of this Palace at the end of 18th century.
The Lal Mahal Palace as the name itself reflects is actually a century old palace ,painted with lime based red colour, a characteristic of the region The palace faces to the north, with a panoramic view of the rocky hills.
